Update from Home

I had a pretty busy week. I flew up to Billings MT for the Wrangler Team Roping Championship Finals. It was good to see my family and some friends that I haven’t seen in awhile. Joel Bach and I ended up winning 4th in the Open roping.

I left Billings after I roped and drove back to TX. I went to the World Series roping in Stephenville on Friday and won 1st in the open with Jade. On Saturday morning Jade and I along with Drew Horner and Buddy Hawkins flew to Kissimmee FL for the Champions Challenge. Jade and I won 3rd. It counts toward the 2014 PRCA standings so it was good to win something. I want to thank Drew for letting me ride his horse and Tim Horner for the great hospitality, I really appreciate it.

Sunday morning Jade and I went to a jackpot in Como TX. It was a memorial roping for Kyle Graham. Trey Whiteman along with others did a really good job putting on the roping and getting added money and prizes. I won 1st with Cole Davison.

I’m home for most of the week. I have a couple jackpots and a school to go to but they are all pretty close to home. Planning on practicing a lot this week and roping the Smarty with my son Tyler. Tyler just got a new horse so he’s excited to do some roping with me and Braylon is ready to ride his pony. I’ve got even more horses to saddle now but it will be fun riding and roping with them.
