Brown and Corkill Win Oakdale Saddle Club Rodeo
Luke Brown and Jade Corkill add $10,610 to their earnings after winning Oakdale (California) and placing at Logandale (Nevada).

Luke Brown, who has been roping with reigning world champion heeler Paul Eaves, entered with three-time PRCA World Champion Heeler Jade Corkill to win the Oakdale (California) Saddle Club Rodeo with a time of 13.5 seconds on two head, worth $2,979 a man. They placed second in the first round with a 6.5-second-run, worth $1,644 a man. In the second round, they tied Dale Benevides and Monty Joe Petska for first in the round with a 7.0-second-run, worth $1,815 a man.

Then at the Clark County Fair & Rodeo in Logandale, Nevada, Brown and Corkill placed third in the average with a time of 16.8 seconds on three head, worth $2,666 a man. They tied Cyle Denison and Cody Cowden, Marcus Theriot and Coleby Payne and JoJo LeMond and Trey Yates for seventh in the first round with a 5.5-second-run, worth $183 a man. They tied Derrick Begay and Wesley Thorp and Jake Barnes and Clay O’Brien Cooper for fourth in the second round with a 4.9-second-run, worth $1,150 a man. Brown and Corkill placed sixth in the finals with a 6.4-second-run, worth $173 a man. Brown and Corkill added a total of $10,610 to each of their earnings last weekend alone. That puts Brown fourth in the PRCA world standings with $40,391.49 won, and doubles Corkill’s season earnings, moving him to 16th with $20,844.81.

Two-time Wranger National Finals Rodeo qualifiers Garrett Rogers and Jake Minor won the Clark County Fair & Rodeo with a time of 15.9 seconds on three head, worth $3,607 a man. They duo won the first round with a 4.8-second-run, worth $2,405 a man. They were out of the money in the second round with their 5.5-second-run, but came back in the finals round with a 5.6-second-run which was fast enough to win second in the round, worth $828 a man. Rogers and Minor added a total of $6,840 to their earnings. 

David Key and Rich Skelton cracked out at Logandale as their first rodeo back together, and Key’s first rodeo back in three years. They won the finals with  5.1-second-run, worth $1,001 a man. They placed seventh in the average 19.3 on three head, worth $783 a man.

In the Great Lakes Circuit, Mitchell Barney and Dustin Harris won the Midwest Horse Fair & Rodeo in Madison, Wisconsin. They roped their steer in 6.2 seconds, worth $1,499 a man. Barney is currently leading the circuit standings with
