Aaron Tsinigine and Trey Yates kicked off their summer run with a bang. The new team won the Reno Rodeo after roping three head in 18.1 seconds, worth $6,765 a man for the average.
They found some luck in the first round, placing third with a 5.3-second run, worth $3,333 a man. When it came to the final round, Tsinigine and Yates needed to be 6.7 seconds to secure the win and did just that, tying with Colton Campbell and Jordan Ketscher for fifth in the round with a 6.7-second run, worth $334 a man. Tsiginie and Yates also tied for third in the second round with Edward Hawley Jr. and Myles John at Rodeo de Santa Fe (New Mexico) with a 4.6-second run, worth $620 a man. They won a total of $11,052 each last week. Tsinigine is now 15th in the PRCA world standings with $24,464.59 won. Yates is seventh with $36,560.44 won.
Denver Johnson and Tristin Woolsey won the Wainwright Stampede in Alberta after roping three head in 17.1 seconds, worth $2,002 each. They won the first round with a 5.5-second run, worth $1,345 a man. They tied for fourth in the second round with Wyatt Hayes and Tyler Popescul with another 5.5-second run, worth $725 a man and won the finals round with a 6.1-second run, worth $1,200 a man. Johnson and Woolsey placed tied for third at the Sundre (Alberta) Pro Rodeo with Levi Simpson and Jeremy Buhler with a 4.5-second run, worth $1,402 a man. Johnson and Woolsey won a total of $6,674.
Dustin Bird and Rocky Dallyn were on a roll in Alberta, Canada. Their team won the Guy Weadick Days in High River, Alberta with a 5.1-second run, worth $2,011 a man. They also won the Sundre Pro Rodeo with a 4.1-second run, worth $2,081 a man. Bird and Dallyn added a total of $4,092 a man to their earnings.
Michael Calmelat and TJ Brown won Rodeo de Sante Fe after knocking down two steers in 10.3 seconds, woth $1,636 a man. They tied for first in the first round with Chase Wiley and Martin Lucero with a 5.8-second run, worth $432 a man. The duo won second in the second round with a 4.5-second run, worth $902 a man.
