Pro Rodeo Results Wrap-Up: October 8, 2018
The 2019 rodeo season is now in full swing.

Just a week after closing the 2018 regular season, the 2019 rodeo year is in full swing. Tyler Wade and Ryan Motes are teamed up at the All American ProRodeo Finals in Waco, Texas, which runs Oct. 6 to Oct. 13. They won first in the first round with a 5.5-second-run, worth $2,799 a man and second in the second round with a 5.6-second-run, worth $2,084 a man in Bracket I of the tournament-style rodeo. All-American Finals earnings count toward the 2019 year-end standings and can prove to be a huge boost early in the year. 

Blake Hirdes and Kyle Lockett won the average at the California Circuit Finals in Lancaster, California roping three head in 31.5 seconds, worth $2,957 a man. They placed fourth in the first round with a 5.8-second-run, worth $4,943 a man and fourth in the third round with a 11.0-second-run, worth $493 a man. That will get each man into the 2019 Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Kissimmee, Florida, March 21 through March 24. Circuit Finals money also counts to 2019 earnings.

Turner Harris and Ross Carson won the average at the Badlands Circuit Finals in Minot, North Dakota. They roped four head in 46.4 seconds, worth $3,336 a man. Harris and Carson didn’t have any luck getting into the first two rounds but they snuck into the third round, placing fourth with a 6.0-second-run, worth $417 each.

Chris Francis and Cade Passig were on a roll at the Turquoise Circuit Finals in Prescott Valley, Arizona. They won the average after roping three head in 17.1 seconds, worth $2,693 a man. They tied Erich Rogers and Scotty Raines for first in the first round with a 5.3-second-run, worth $1,571 a man. They also won the second round with a 5.4-second-run, worth $1,795 a man. 

Dustin Egusquiza and Kory Koontz are not backing off after the 2018 regular season came to an end. They roped at the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo in Rosenburg, Texas winning it with a 4.2-second-run, worth $3,304 a man. Then at the Waller County Fair & Rodeo in Hempstead, Texas, Egusquiza and Koontz tied Caleb Mitchell and Seth Smithson for third with a 5.0-second run, worth $2,035 a man. Egusquiza and Koontz won a total of $5,339 over the weekend.
