NFR Team Roping Steers

Round 4 marks the second run on the midsized pen of steers that forced six teams to take no-times to start the week in Round 1.

Round 4 Draw

Tyler Wade and Trey Yates: 53

This is a stronger steer that Chad Masters lost his rope on in Round 1.

Rhen Richard and Jeremy Buhler: 48

This is the steer Brye Crites missed when Jake Orman got into the wall on in Round 1. They missed him in the run through, so he’s got an extra run on him and leaves sharp.

Dustin Egusquiza and Travis Graves: 59

Lightning Aguilera got the barrier on this steer in Round 1, and Jonathan Torres roped a leg. He’s a taller steer with bigger horns and fairly strong.

Tanner Tomlinson and Patrick Smith: 33

Rhen Richard missed this steer in Round 1. This is a sharp leading steer and should be one of the stronger ones of the set. He leaves good and should be a good chance.

Coleman Proctor and Logan Medlin: 37

Brady Minor roped a leg on this steer in Round 1 to be 4.5. He’s got smaller horns and he was medium on the run through. He’s a chance for a good check.

Andrew Ward and Buddy Hawkins: 56

Cody Snow and Wesley Thorp got this steer down in a tough Round 1, getting a good go to be 5.3. He’s medium and straight and not a lot of action. He’s a softer one in the set. Go round chance.

Clay Smith and Jake Long: 52

Travis Graves missed this steer in Round 1. He kind of walked out in Round 1. He’s medium and straight, and a good chance to get him on a short rope and let Jake Long do what Jake Long does.

Clay Tryan and Jade Corkill: 54

Coleman Proctor and Logan Medlin made a smart 5.6-second run on this one in Round 1. He’s medium on the run, high-headed and should handle fast.

Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira: 45

Andrew Ward and Buddy Hawkins made a solid 5.2-second run on this steer in Round 1. He’s medium to medium plus. He should have his head up and be easy to knock down, but he does run a little bit.

Jake Orman and Brye Crites: 36

Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira were 4.7 on this steer in Round 1. They missed him in the run through, so he has one more run than most of the rest He should be straight and he should try. This might just be the chance of the night.

Riley Minor and Brady Minor: 58

This was a good steer, and Tanner Tomlinson and Patrick Smith were 4.4 plus five on him. He is a little softer on the run.

Lightning Aguilera and Jonathan Torres: 43

Tyler Wade got it on this steer fast and Trey Yates missed him.

Cody Snow and Wesley Thorp: 49

Really sharp leaving and pretty strong. He’ll try a little on the run. Clay Smith missed him and said he pushed his loop too far left.

Chad Masters and Joseph Harrison: 57

This is a go-round chance, the steer JR Dees and Levi Lord won the day money aboard in Round 1.

JR Dees and Levi Lord: 42

He’s a big black steer, but he doesn’t handle as well as Chad Masters’ or Jake Orman’s steers.
