Aspyn Dent, roping as a 3 header and hailing from Lipan, Texas, had a bang-up weekend at the USTRC’s Brazos Valley Classic by X-Treme Team Roping in early February, where she cashed in on $4,250 in the #8.5 Prize. The 23-year-old took first place heading for Kaleb Hella, worth $5,000 for the pair, when they caught three head in 29.69 seconds. She then earned the remainder of her haul by taking third with heeler JP Cantu by catching three head in 33.01 seconds, worth $3,500 for the team.

Jessica Gray earns on both ends at January’s NTRL Finals
At the end of January, Citra, Florida’s Jessica Gray, a 5 switch ender, earned a pace-setting $4,156 to kick off the year at the NTRL Finals in Jacksonville, Florida, produced by JX2 Productions. The lion’s share of the winnings were earned when she headed for Dillon Bird in the #12 Shoot Out and took third place with a time of 33.56 seconds on four head, worth a team total of $6,000. The 24-year-old then cleaned up on the heel side in the All Girl when she took first and third in the average, as well as clinching the Overall Fast Time in the division, earning her another $1,156 for the day.
Grace Finley wins big at JX2’s USTRC South Georgia Championships
Grace Finley won the average heading for Hunter White in the #8.5 USTRC Prize at the South Georgia Championships in Perry, Georgia, produced by JX2 Productions. The pair stretched three steers in 28.08 seconds early in January for shared winnings worth $7,490. Finley, who turns 20 this month, ropes as a 3 and hails from Cleveland, Georgia.

2020 Cinch Ladies Update
With the transition of the USTRC’s National Finals of Team Roping to Fort Worth, it wasn’t possible to track a year’s worth of successes for the ladies. Instead, for 2020, Cinch will award the two lady loopers—one header and one heeler—who are the high-money earners throughout the National Finals event with $1,000 and a dozen shirts and pairs of jeans each.
2021 Cinch Ladies Standings
Moving forward and looking to the 2021 USTRC NFTR, the Cinch Ladies Standings will be tracked for the 2020 calendar year—January 1 to December 31. The roper with the most money earned by the end of the 2020 season will then be awarded two free entries into the division of their choice at the April 2021 USTRC NFTR.
