Calgary Stampede’s Rocky Mountain Cup Team Roping is back at the Nutrien Western Event Centre July 8, 2026.

This year, the reining season leaders Korbin Rice and Cooper Freeman took home the $50,000, plus money won in both rounds.

Format

The Rocky Mountain Cup will feature two complete long rounds with the top eight in the average after the first advancing to the Semifinals. The top four from the Semifinals will advance to the Showdown.

Payout

The Calgary Stampede Rocky Mountain Cup has a purse of $310,250.00 ($155,125 per side). The first and second rounds will pay eight places as follow:

  1. $6,396.88
  2. $5,562.50
  3. $4,728.13
  4. $3,893.75
  5. $3,059.38
  6. $2,225.00
  7. $1,390.63
  8. $556.25

The Semifinals will pay:

  1. $3,000
  2. $3,000
  3. $3,000
  4. $3,000

The Finals will pay:

  1. $50,000
  2. $20,000
  3. $10,000
  4. $7,500

Only 80% of monies earned at the Calgary Stampede Rocky Mountain Cup will count toward the 2026 PRCA world standings.
