Returning to Guthrie, Oklahoma’s Lazy E Arena for his 11^th Timed Event Championship is Erich Rogers: 2017 PRCA World Champion Header, 2020 NFR average champ, 2022 Iron Man and two- time Indian National Finals Rodeo Champion. 

“I try not to get ahead of myself,” said Rogers, who’s earned more than $2 million in PRCA earnings. “One steer at a time, one calf at a time and one event at a time. I’ll just do the best I can on the livestock I draw.”  

The Round Rock, Arizona, roper has won nearly every major PRCA rodeo, The American and the Bob Feist Invitational in the heading. In 2023, he finished the year 10^th in the PRCA world standings with $188,590 in earnings after winning Round 6 of the NFR with Eaves in 3.5 seconds, tying the round record. Other big wins from the year included winning the Sheridan Wyo Rodeo and Albuquerque, as well as seizing an all-round win at Walla Walla where he finished seventh in the steer roping. 

Rogers has been jackpotting in recent months and, despite an intense rodeo schedule, he remains committed to sharing his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of roping enthusiasts through clinics and training sessions across the Navajo Nation.
