Leading television personality and former Miss Rodeo America Amy Wilson today joins the Equine Network’s Western Sports Group as Western Sports Media Director, continuing the growth of what’s already the largest membership organization in the horse industry.
Wilson’s expertise in the Western industry will offer further insights to the team already responsible for the Ariat World Series of Team Roping, the United States Team Roping Championships, the Pink and Ruby Buckles, Patriot Events, Ranch Sorting National Championships, The Team Roping Journal, BarrelRacing.com, Roping.com and Ride TV.
“Our team is responsible for the largest events and media brands in all of Western sports,” Connie Gentry, WSG President, said. “By adding Amy and her talents to our group, we’ll be able to continue our growth in the event-coverage and story-telling segments of the market. At the Equine Network, building the Western industry by producing and/or providing the coverage of major events and the media, day in and day out, inspires further participation in the lifestyle. And Amy has proven her ability to deeply understand, connect with and speak to that audience.”
Wilson will join Equine Network Executive Director of Western Sports Group Marketing Dru Stewart as a host of the Priefert Sports Desk, a staple at major events like the $18 million Ariat WSTR Finale, USTRC Cinch NFTR, The Patriot Events and the Cinch Timed Event Championship. She will also liaison with associations and producers to facilitate streaming arrangements for future events.
“I love seeing all the advancements in our industry, and joining the EN team aligns with my passion to help continue that growth,” Wilson said. “It’s an impressive company with a huge opportunity for competitors and fans to follow and appreciate credible content, and I’m excited to be a part of it all.”
