California Rodeo Hall of Fame

Spin To Win Rodeo Veterinary Columnist Dr. Frank Santos and his daughter, Spin To Win Rodeo Editor Kendra Santos, were inducted July 25 into the California Rodeo Hall of Fame during the 2010 California State Fair in Sacramento. The Santoses join the likes of ProRodeo Hall of Famers Jack Roddy, John W. Jones Jr. and Sr., and Cotton Rosser in the California hall. Though a full-time horse vet and father of three, and though he only entered about a dozen rodeos a year in his prime, Dr. Santos won all-around championships and timed-event titles up and down the Golden State during his career, winning them all from the California Rodeo in Salinas to San Francisco’s Cow Palace, Oakdale, Hayward, Santa Maria, Redding, Livermore and many more. Dr. Santos put himself through college at the University of California-Davis and supported his young family while in vet school exclusively on rodeo winnings. Due to a laborless grand entry, Dr. Santos delivered Kendra, who also serves as Director of Communications for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, at home in Davis during his junior year. Frank and Kendra have both been members of Team Spin To Win since day one.
