Double-Digit Earnings Weekend Shakes Up PRCA World Standings
From Calgary to the Northwest, several major rodeos saw teams rack up critical earnings that shifted the 2025 PRCA world standings

With the Calgary Stampede’s Rocky Mountain Cup headlining the weekend of Aug. 20-24, PRCA team roping saw major payouts and significant shifts in the 2025 PRCA world standings.

Andrew Ward & Jake Long: $35,892

Andrew Ward and Jake Long had a vital weekend, headlined by the Rocky Mountain Cup win and a drastic jump in the PRCA world standings. Ward and Long took the win in Calgary, Alberta, with a 5.0 in the four-man finals for the $25,000-a-man win. Pair that with some round money, and the team won $29,440 a man in the Great White North. Ward and Long also won $3,356 a man at the Gem State Stampede in Coeur D’alene, Idaho, and $3,096 apiece in Bremerton, Washington, at the Kitsap Stampede. Their $35,892-a-man week pushed them to No. 9 and No. 8 in the world standings with $113,790.21 and $112,043.66, respectively.

Clint Summers & Jade Corkill: $26,039

Clint Summers and Jade Corkill were right behind Ward and Long, raking in $26,039 a man over the weekend. Summers and Corkill finished second in Calgary with a 5.7 for $15,000 apiece, bringing their Canada trip to $19,071 a man. The now No. 7 and No. 6 men in the world standings with $122,280.45 and $122,605.67 also were the co-champions in Salmon, Idaho, for $2,373 a man. They rounded out their week with $4,595 apiece at the Golden Spike Rodeo in Tremonton, Utah.

Shay Carroll & Levi Lord: $18,626

While Levi Lord is already well inside the Top 15, his header Shay Carroll greatly needed their $18,626-a-man weekend. Carroll and Lord’s biggest hit also came in Calgary where they won third for $10,000 apiece. They also won the first round for $4,255 apiece. Carroll and Lord won $2,446 out of the Horse Heaven Roundup Rodeo in Kennewick, Washington, and $688 a man in Bremerton. Their $1,237 a man in Tremonton helped Carroll move to No. 13 with $99,360.64 won on the year and Lord to No. 1 with $154,091.06 a man.

Lightning Aguilera & Wyatt Cox: $15,530

As men on the bubble and not in for the Cinch Playoff Series in Puyallup, Washington, next week, Lightning Aguilera and Wyatt Cox were in dire need of a strong. Aguilera and Cox won $15,530 apiece over the weekend to move Aguilera to No. 10 with $107,263.93 and Cox to No. 12 with $95,441.74. Aguilera and Cox pocketed $4,035 a man in Calgary, plus $3,888 a man for third in Tremonton. They also picked up $5,161 apiece for the win in Bremerton with a 3.5-second run and $2,446 a man out of the second round in Kennewick.

Nelson Wyatt & Jonathan Torres: $10,681

Nelson Wyatt has also been in need of a big hit, currently sitting No. 21 in the world standings with $83,952.58 whereas his partner Jonathan Torres is No. 11 with $100,638.35. Wyatt and Torres won the second round in Kennewick for $3,309 apiece as well as $4,075 a man for the Coeur D’alene win. They pocketed $2,590 in the first round in Calgary, plus $707 apiece in Tremonton. All in all, Wyatt and Torres won $10,681 apiece over the weekend.
