The North Dakota Roughrider Cup is back in 2025, promising a major payout in the final two weeks of the 2025 ProRodeo season for team ropers.

With the top 32 teams in the world standings, plus qualifiers from key Badlands Circuit rodeos, set to rope Sept. 19-21, the Roughrider Cup is once again positioned to rattle the world standings in the closing weeks of the ProRodeo season. In 2024, reigning and back-to-back World Champs Tyler Wade and Wesley Thorp took the win for $15,112 a man. Though the rodeo still has a $60,000 purse, it will pay 15 places in 2025 compared to eight in 2024, meaning the winning team will likely take home less.
