There’s still plenty of rodeo left in Las Vegas after Round 3 of the 2024 NFR, but how are things looking at this point?

We crunched the numbers to see who would take home the world titles if it was all said and done after Round 3.

So, what do the world standings look like after Round 3?

As of Dec. 8, and includes the $10,000 bonus the athletes receive for making the NFR.

While the world standings may not look close, they are when rounds pay $33,687.18 a man to win. Tyler Wade and Wesley Thorp have a $27,948.76 lead over Dustin Egusquiza and Levi Lord which is just one round win apart.

Hypothetical average winners

This is how the average race looks after three rounds and how the payout would look if the NFR ended today, Dec. 8.

As we enter the fourth round, six teams have all three steers caught with Erich Rogers and Paul Eaves leading the race. The average, of course, is crucial in crowning the world champions, as after Round 3 only one of the top three teams in the world standings are currently picking up an aggregate check.

So, who would win the world?

This is approximately how the world standings would look if the NFR ended today and with the hypothetical average payout added.

If the Finals were to end today, Dec. 8, Wade and Thorp would win repeat world titles. Brenten Hall and NFR rookie Kaden Profili would climb from ninth and seventh in the initial world standings (how they entered the Finals) to second in the world. Rogers and Eaves would also make some major money moves, climbing originally from 13th and 15th to third in the world.
