NFR Predictions: All-Around
No. 11

As usual, this is the easiest pick of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Trevor Brazile has already wrapped up his 18th gold buckle in the steer roping with $84,221 in that event alone.

After not qualifying for the NFR in the tie-down roping last year for the first time in 8 years, Brazile is back in both that event and team roping. He’s the only contestant going to the NFR in two events (although, counting the steer roping he actually has three).

Tuf Cooper has won over $100,000 in the tie-down roping at the NFR, but in order for either him or Corkill (who will be defending his world champion heeler title) to pass Brazile, they’ll have to hope he won’t win a dime. Barring injury, that won’t happen.

What’s most interesting is that with this 11th gold buckle, Brazile will surpass Guy Allen for most gold buckles in PRCA history. That’s probably the most significant record in the PRCA books that Brazile doesn’t already own. It’s only right that after this year, he will at least own a part of it.
