Rose and Hillman win Fort Worth; Fuller leads Resistol Rookie Standings.

Adam Rose and Jett Hillman won the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show in Fort Worth, Texas, roping three head in 16.3 seconds, worth $7,496 a man.

“That’s got to be one of the top ones (wins) right there,” Rose said. “Fort Worth is such an iconic rodeo—it’s just been around forever. It’s pretty cool to win it.”

Rose and Hillman tied Caleb Smidt and Will Woodfin, Matt Sherwood and Tyler Worley and Kelsey Parchman and Matt Kasner for seventh in the first round with a 5.2-second-run, worth $380 a man.

“I got a pretty good start,” Rose said. “We completed the pattern on the first one. Jett had gotten that horse that day and rodeo her that day. Our second steer was good. He wasn’t just great, but I thought he was a good steer. I got a great start. It made me a little bit nervous because I thought I left a little bit early. Jett heeled him super fast.”

They won fourth in the finals round with a 5.9-second-run, worth $770 a man, which moved them to first in the average. Rose and Hillman added a total of $8,646 to their earnings, moving Rose to 15th in the PRCA World standings with $9,104.86 and Hillman to ninth with $12,112.29.
