ProRodeo Results Wrap-Up: March 27, 2018
Theriot and Doescher win Rodeo Austin (Texas).

Marcus Theriot and Cody Doescher won Rodeo Austin (Texas) after roping their final steer in 5.6 seconds, worth $9,400 a man. Theriot and Doescher advanced to the semifinals after tieing for tenth in the round with Landon McClaugherty and Joel Galvan Jr. with a 5.2-second run, worth $130 a man. They then placed fifth in the semifinals round with a 5.6-second run, worth $1,316 a man. By the end of the rodeo Theriot and Doescher banked $10,846 each which moved them into the top 30 of the PRCA World Standings.

Bubba Buckaloo moved into second in the PRCA world standings after winning the semifinals at Rodeo Austin with Travis Woodard turning in a time of 4.5 seconds, worth $4,935 a man. In the finals, Buckaloo and Woodard won third with a 5.1, adding $4,700 to each man’s earnings. By the end of the rodeo Buckaloo and Woodard banked $9,635 each.

Cody Snow and Wesley Thorp continue to hang in the top five of the PRCA World Standings after they won the YMBL Championship Rodeo in Beaumont, Texas with a 4.7-second run, adding $1,530 to each to their world standings totals. Snow and Thorp also placed fifth at the Nacogdoches (Texas) Pro Rodeo & Steer Show with a 4.3-second run, adding $560 to each man’s earnings.

Two-time Cinch Timed Event Champion Paul David Tierney and partner Tanner Braden won the Ozark Empire ProRodeo in Springfield, Missouri, with a 5.1-second run worth $1,027 a man. Notably, reigning WPRA world champion heeler and USTRC Cinch Ladies Standings champion Whitney DeSalvo heeled for Dilan Rucker in Springfield, turning in a time of 6.5 seconds to win fourth, worth $496 each. That was DeSalvo’s first ProRodeo.
