The Cinch World Championship Junior Rodeo Presented by Montana Silversmith (WCJR), one of the premier youth rodeo events in the world, has announced that pre-entries are open for the highly anticipated 2026 competition, set for July 8–11 at the legendary Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
All Last Chance Qualifer Entry fees will be $250 and must be submitted via NextGen Rodeo with pre-entry deadline set for June 29. Full entry and format details are available at WCJRodeo.com.
Starting June 30, a $50 late fee will be applied to all entries until July 6. All On-site entries will have a $100 late fee.
In 2025, the WCJR paid out more than $431,000, and the 2026 event will feature over $145,000 in guaranteed added money. WCJR offers two age divisions—Youth (15 and under) and Junior (19 and under)—with competitors in each division competing across 11 disciplines.
All entries must be submitted via NextGen Rodeo.
The WCJR is open to youth athletes competing across 11 disciplines: Bareback Riding, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping (Heading and Heeling), Tie-Down Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing, Ladies Pole Bending, Ladies Goat Tying, and Bull Riding. All youth athletes have the opportunity to enter up into the Junior Division. Youth contestants in Barrel Racing and Pole Bending may also choose to roll their times into the Junior Division; to do so, they must pay both the youth and junior entry fees. Roughstock events are limited to Junior Division athletes who rank in the Top 15 of the leaderboard as of June 14.
Qualifier Series winners are eligible to enter the Last Chance Qualifier with no entry fee. In addition, the Top 15 athletes on the leaderboard earn a direct path to the Semi-Finals, also with no additional entry fee required.
