Spurred by the consistent year-to-year growth of Spanish-speaking ropers, the World Series of Team Roping and USTRC have recently welcomed Rafael Dominguez to the main office staff to better serve its Spanish-speaking members. The organizations have always had employees who shared in that duty, but this will be the first time they have strategically placed an employee in this role of helping its Spanish-speaking members navigate through the classification and entry process.

“We don’t want the language barrier to inhibit participation in our associations,” President of Roping Operations Ty Yost said. “The Spanish-speaking population has long supported the team roping industry and, in an effort to minimize communication problems, we’ve brought Rafael onto our staff to serve those members as well as work with the rest of our main office team on day-to-day customer service needs.”
Dominguez is relocating from Colorado to his original home of Albuquerque. He is a lifelong roper with a background in equine-related disciplines.
Dominguez started in the Albuquerque, New Mexico, office July 20, and he can be reached via email at Rafael@wstroping. com or via phone at 505-899-1870 or 505-898-1755.
