The American Rope Horse Futurity Association has played a key role in the growth of the rope horse industry since 2007.

The ARHFA team is led by Jay and Linsay Wadhams, who applied already-proven, performance horse futurity models in the barrel racing, cutting and cow horse industries to the team roping. Their efforts have resulted in an elevated rope horse market, including increased payouts and better breeding opportunities.

ARHFA events showcase the talents of 4-, 5- and 6-year-old rope horses across many levels of roping abilities, and are judged and scored against a rubric that blends AQHA horse show and timed-event standards.

Today, American Rope Horse Futurity Association events host the talents of some of the highest performing rope horses in team roping history.
