Columbia River Ropers Taking Advantage of the Northwest Run
Who’s won what, where they did it and how it shifted the 2025 Columbia River Circuit standings.

With the Northwest run in full swing, the Columbia River Circuit team ropers are defending their territory in 2025.

Riley Minor and Brady Minor

Both have $27,819.03 wonfirst in Columbia River heading and heeling standings. The team is also sitting seventh in the world on both sides.

The Minor brothers of Ellensburg, Washington, are known to capitalize on the uptick of rodeos in their backyard this time of the year. Since the beginning of August, the NFR team picked up third in the second round at Hermiston, Oregon, with a 4.6-second run and ended up eighth in the average with an 11.6 on two to win $3,846 a man total. From there, they placed at Omak, Washington, where they were 5.3 seconds to win $1,674 a man. They were reserve champions at co-approved New Plymouth, Idaho, to win $2,006 a man with a 5.1-second run and at Lynden, Washington, where they went 5.6 seconds to earn$1,466 a man. Most recently they ended up top 10 at Moses Lake, Washington, with a 5.7-second run to win $1,262 a man.

Outside of the circuit, the Minors went 4.7 seconds twice, first to win Bozeman, Montana, to pocket $3,685 a man, and then to win Missoula, Montana, to pull $2,745 a man. They also won third at Preston, Idaho, where they ran one in 4.6 seconds to win $3,131 a man.

Garrett Rogers and Jake Minor

Rogers has $17,798.26, Minor has $17,488.06sitting second in heading and heeling standings

Garrett Rogers of Baker City, Oregon, and Jake Minor of Ellensburg, Washington, kicked off the month placing at co-approved Emmett, Idaho, to win $461 a man. From there, the team was fourth at New Plymouth with a 5.4-second run to win $1,471 a man. They were second in the first round at Canby, Oregon, with a 4.3-second run to win $2,092 a man, and ended up second in the average with a 9.2 on two head for $3,138 a man. 

Jett Stewart and Sam Saunders

The team has $13,848.98 wonsitting third in the heading and fourth in the heeling

The month of August has seen Jett Stewart of Ione, Oregon, and Sam Saunders of Homedale, Idaho, tie for the win in Emmett with a 5.6-second run to win $1,981 a man. They placed in the second round at Hermiston after going 5.0 seconds to pocket $1,039 a man, and they took the win at Saunder’s co-approved, hometown rodeo in Homedale with a 4.6-second run for $2,228 a man. They also ended up placing in Omak where they went 5.2 seconds for $1,939 a man.

Chase Hansen

Hansen has $14,988.66 wonsitting third in the heeling

Adrian, Oregon’s Chase Hansen has been steadily putting together runs at the circuit rodeos with header Bryan Reay. They kicked off the month going 7.3 seconds in Emmett to win $1,013 a man. From there, they were reserve champions at Sandpoint, Idaho, with a 6.4-second run to pocket $1,421 a man. Finally, they were the reserve champions at Omak, winning $2,644 a man for their 5.0-second run.

Jake Raley and Russell Cardoza

The team has won $13,626.33 – sitting fourth in the heading and fifth in the heeling.

Jake Raley of Brush Prairie, Washington and Russell Cardoza of Terrebonne, Oregon, were 5.6 seconds in Homedale to win $1,188 a man and were 6.3 seconds in Moses Lake to win $505 a man. Cardoza is also leading the Columbia River circuit all-around race with $31,178.49.

Brayden Schmidt

Schmidt has $13,364.20 won – sitting fifth in the heading

Brayden Schmidt of Benton City, Washington, and Resistol Rookie of the Year contender Jayden Warner grabbed three checks in the Northwest since the beginning of August. They placed at Omak with a 6.5-second run to win $705 a man, and then they were third at Grandview, Washington, where they went 6.3 seconds to win $737 a man. Finally, the pair won Lynden, Washington to pocket $1,686 a man after a 5.3-second run.
