Announcement: New Nationwide Team Roping Clinic Tour
As told in the April 2022 issue, Editor-in-Chief Chelsea Shaffer announces a nationwide clinic kick-off to be hosted in conjunction with April's Cinch USTRC National Finals of Team Roping in Fort Worth.

Dear Roper,

I think a few months ago I wrote this letter about “passion projects” that highlighted what we’re doing on “The Score,” “The Breakdown” and Roping.com. And now I’ve got a new passion project to tell you about this month, too.

Starting at the Cinch USTRC National Finals of Team Roping at the end of the month, we’re kicking off our new take on team roping clinics. We’re going on a nationwide tour with some of the best ropers and horsemen in the game, running an elite coaching event that will prepare you to take your skills to the next level—with a full course load that touches every element of team roping.

During the US Finals in Fort Worth, we’ll host a 4-hour clinic each day on April 27, 28 and 29, with one hard-to-get coach per day for a very limited number of participants. Kory Koontz will teach on April 27, Ryan Motes on April 28 and horseman Brad Lund will appear on April 29. This isn’t something we’re taking lightly. We’ve assembled a team of top event producers to make these clinics an experience unlike any you’ve had before. We’ll be rolling out details on these clinics across teamropingjournal.com and on ustrc.com, so look for more details there.

While we’re only accepting a few participants to each clinic, we’ll have a full production crew on site to capture all the insights and action for Roping.com, where members will be able to go back and watch the footage at any time.

The Team Roping Journal will continue to be the core of what we offer and how ropers can understand the ins and outs of the sport month in and month out, but our goal is to help you enjoy this sport whichever way works best for you: Whether that’s in person at one of our new elite clinics, on Roping.com, through our website or on our podcasts… or whatever else comes down the road next.

See you in Fort Worth,

Chelsea
