Dear Roper,

You’re receiving our fourth annual Team Roping Journal Breeder’s Guide. To provide this valuable service to you in the first of the year, we’re sending our January issue earlier than in years past. Then, our February issue will closely follow, plumb full of Ariat World Series of Team Roping Finale and PRCA World Championship coverage.

2024 Breeder’s Guide

We made this move this year for a few reasons. First, the dates of this year’s NFR and Finale fell much later in December than in recent memory. When that happens and we hold magazine to print until the end of the Finale, our January issue arrives in your mailboxes terribly late—especially late for those event producers hoping to see you at their New Years’ and early January ropings.

With the explosion of the rope horse market, too, we’ve heard from breeders who want their stallion information in your hands earlier than ever. They are adamantly in favor of making sure you have the information and the time you need to make your breeding choices this year, making The Breeder’s Guide your No. 1 source for the rope horse market. This move has helped make this magazine the largest we’ve ever produced, a testament to the health of the horse industry.

January 2024 issue

Not to worry—our February issue will also hit your mailboxes in January 2024, earlier than ever. We’ll wrap it up just days after the close of the Finale and the National Finals Rodeo and send it to press, so you won’t notice much change. Plus, by the time you get this magazine, you’ll surely have already seen dozens and dozens of stories from our team online from Las Vegas, watched the Finale airing on WSTRoping.com, listened to a podcast or two of the NFR go-round winners and watched our coverage both on social media and through our segments on The Cowboy Channel.

Hopefully this issue is a welcome surprise to start the New Year right. We’re honored to share these amazing horses and programs with you for another breeding season.

See you down the road,

Chelsea
