The Mr Sassy Frenchman daughter Yes Im Sassy already had $44,234 won in her impressive futurity career before Kaleb Driggers swung leg over her in Oklahoma City June 1.

But with World Champ Driggers aboard, the 2018 mare stood out from the pack to win the ARHFA’s Red Bud Spectacular and add $13,960 to her QData lifetime earnings, pushing them to $58,194 for her career on the head side.

Yes Im Sassy

“She’s a really nice mare,” Driggers said. “They have shown her and jackpotted on her all week at the Royal Crown, and it just makes her better. She’s a tough, gritty mare. She has really good foot speed and foot work. And being a beautiful buckskin doesn’t hurt anything.”

Raised by the Myers Ranch and by their stallion Mr Sassy Frenchman and out of their Paddys Irish Whiskey daughter Full A Irish Whiskey, Yes Im Sassy is owned by Neal and Jody Wanless. She’s been in training with Dakota Kirchenschlager since she was 3, and she’s been shown by Kirchenschlager and Colby Lovell up to this point, who won the Royal Crown’s All Ages Futurity on her in Rock Springs in 2023.

“Dakota lets his horses work,” Lovell said of Kirchenschlager’s training. “They don’t ever feel like they’ve been picked on or aggravated. They’re relaxed, and they hook up to a cow good. His loop, the way he swings his rope, has got a lot of timing to it. So his horses always feel like they have their feet under them, bringing the saddle horn to you. You never feel like you’re having to lean off the side of your horse or your horse is leaning against you.”
