2024 NFR Team Roping’s Round 1 Steer Report
Round 1 steers are smaller and faster than in years past.
NFR Steers

The team roping steers for Round 1 will be the smaller, faster set of the three, going in Rounds 1, 4, 7 and 10.

“We switched the order of the pens this year to put the faster ones first because we wanted to even them up on the run,” Bobby Joe Hill of Hill Rodeo Cattle said. “And they weigh about 485. They should leave the chutes faster and should be a fast round tonight. I see guys going at them.”
