“They goin’ to blast these steers.” — Round 2 2025 NFR Steer Report
Round 2 of the team roping at the 2025 NFR will be good watching.

If we learned anything in Round 1 of the 2025 NFR, it’s that you all love Cory Kidd’s NFR steer notes.

So we’re right back with them in Round 2, in a pen that he says the top 15 are going to love.

 TEAMSTEER NUMBERNOTES
Luke Brown / Trey Yates31Medium, they hazed him a lil in run throughs so may step left.
Riley Minor / Brady Minor35Medium, wants to be real straight which leads to fast runs in middle of arena.
Jake Smith / Douglas Rich33Average steer, no one ever really got good start at him on run throughs.
Dawson Graham / Dillon Graham38Middle of herd.
Tyler Wade / Wesley Thorp54Medium speed. They turned him on down the arena. Wanted to handle lil funky but good start solves all that.
Cyle Denison / Lane Mitchell36Leaves good, lets you get a start and straight. Expect this steer to win a lot.
Andrew Ward / Jake Long41Lil bit stronger steer. Middle of arena but should let you go at him. No tricks.
Clay Smith / Coleby Payne23Good steer, he’s a round chance.
Dustin Egusquiza / Levi Lord22Medium steer.
Clint Summers / Jade Corkill46Just average steer.
Derrick Begay / Colter Todd21Goody. Medium, wants to post up. Should win a lot on him.
Tanner Tomlinson / Travis Graves3This steer eluded a couple of best headers in the run throughs. Once we got him turned (Lane) Mitchell gave him the full pull. Should be good steer.
Kaleb Driggers / Junior Nogueira59Put your favorite shirt on, you’re headed to South Point.
Lightning Aguilera / Kaden Profili20Paint, looks amazing but there’s more steer there. They bust his bubble he will be good.
Kolton Schmidt / Jonathan Torres34Medium but he’s pretty. They gonna win a lot on him.
