The Pro Priefert Ranch Open Roping returns to the Priefert Ranch in Mount Pleasant, Texas, May 26–31, 2026. For the fourth year in a row, roping fans can watch every moment live on Roping.com, with full on-demand replay of each day’s action available for subscribers who can’t tune in live.
The six-day event features competition across Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping, Breakaway Roping, and Steer Wrestling — spanning every level from amateur to open pro competition. The 2025 Open was won by Two-time World Champion Header Clay Smith and 2025 Rookie of the Year, Nicky Northcott.
The Pro Priefert Ranch Open Roping Schedule
The week kicks off Tuesday, May 26 with the EAG Mt. Pleasant Ladies Day, featuring the Priefert Ranch Open Breakaway, an All-Girl Open Team Roping, Challenger Breakaway with Limited Incentive, and a 19 & Under Breakaway with a 15U Side Pot. Wednesday, May 27 brings the Cavender’s Priefert Ranch Open Tie-Down and the T&S Trip Hopper Priefert Ranch Open Steer Roping, along with the OKBRAND PRO Roping Dinner presented by Rancho Seco, before the Priefert Ranch Open Roping presented by Quanta.
Thursday, May 28 is Smarty Supply Co. Youth Day, spotlighting the next generation of ropers with events including 12U Breakaway, 19U and 15U Girls Goat Tying, Junior Team Roping, and the Ote Berry Jr. Steer Wrestling. On May 29-31, the WSTR ropings take over, running from the #15.5 down through the #7.5, with sponsored add-ons from 2S Feed & Ranch Supply, Trent Ward Saddlery, and Heartland to close out the week.
