The next generation of ProRodeo team ropers—and some of the most successful rookies from years past—will be well represented in the Cheyenne Frontier Days semifinals.
Five ropers currently ranked in the 2026 Resistol Rookie standings advanced through the seven qualifying performances, joining 12 former Resistol Rookies of the Year headed to the semifinals.

Denton Parish — No. 5 in the rookie heading standings
Parish and Buddy Hawkins finished second in Performance Five with an 8.1-second run.
Trey White — No. 5 in the rookie heeling standings
White and 2022 Resistol Rookie Heading Rookie of the Year Tanner James finished fifth in Performance Six with a 9.7-second run.
Blake Walker II — No. 10 in the rookie heeling standings
Walker and Wawa Ben Jr. tied for fourth in Performance One with a 9.2-second run.
Stefan Ramone — No. 11 in the rookie heading standings
Ramone and Treyden Gonzales finished second in Performance Three with an 8.9-second run.
Brandon Baca — No. 15 in the rookie heeling standings
Baca and JC Archuleta finished third in Performance Two with an 8.6-second run.

Kaleb Driggers — 2009 Heading Rookie of the Year; Junior Nogueira — 2014 Heeling Rookie of the Year
Driggers and Nogueira won Performance Seven with a 7.3-second run, the fastest time among the qualifying performances.

Woodfin and Clay Tryan won Performance Three with a 7.9-second run.
Nelson Wyatt — 2017 Heading Rookie of the Year
Wyatt and Jonathan Torres won Performance Six with a 7.6-second run.
Ross Ashford — 2018 Heeling Rookie of the Year
Ashford and Brye Crites advanced to the semifinals through a tiebreak after turning in a 10.0-second run in Performance Three.
Tanner Tomlinson — 2020 Heading Rookie of the Year
Tomlinson and Wesley Thorp finished fourth in Performance Five with a 9.0-second run.
Tanner James — 2022 Heading Rookie of the Year
James and current rookie heeler Trey White finished fifth in Performance Six with a 9.7-second run.
Kaden Profili — 2023 Heeling Rookie of the Year
Profili and Lightning Aguilera won Performance Two with an 8.3-second run.
Tyler Tryan — 2024 Heading Rookie of the Year; Nicky Northcott — 2025 Heeling Rookie of the Year
