The Valley of the Sun is already packed with team ropers escaping colder climates for millions in payouts throughout the winter months. These are the ropings that will pay big and set you up to win even more down the road—from Ariat World Series of Team Roping qualifiers to the National Team Roping events you can’t miss, ask Siri to add all these dates to your calendar, pronto. 

NOVEMBER

Nov. 7-9 | ARIAT WSTR QUALIFIER

Buckeye Equestrian Center
Buckeye, Arizona

This is a full Ariat WSTR Qualifier, complete with a #13.5 and #10.5 pick/draw add-on, as well as the highlight of the weekend—the #11.5 Bloomer Qualifier special fees roping. Books open at 8 a.m. each day. 

Nov. 28-30 | ARIAT WSTR QUALIFIER

Buckeye Equestrian Center
Buckeye, Arizona

This Thanksgiving weekend jackpot is so much better than Black Friday shopping. With an Open that’s packed with NFR contestants on their way to Vegas and legends who call Arizona home in the winter, this qualifier is always stacked and great watching to boot. 

Nov. 28-29 | NTR BLACK FRIDAY TRUCK ROPING

Rancho Rio 
Wickenburg, Arizona

The NTR will give away a brand new one-ton dually pickup in a #10.5 on Friday, with a #7 and #8.5 prize roping on Saturday. 

DECEMBER

Dec. 1-10 | VEGAS WEEK

Rancho Rio

The storm before the storm, you could call it. Vegas Week is the lead-up to the Ariat WSTR Finale, where everyone gets tuned up and ready to roll for the even bigger payouts at the South Point. 

JANUARY

Dec. 31-Jan. 3 | ARIAT WSTR QUALIFIER

Wickenburg, Arizona

No better way to send out 2025 and kick off 2026 than with the Ariat WSTR in The Team Roping Capital of the World, with two arenas, cattle pens as far as the eye can see and big payouts. 

Jan. 16-18 | ARIAT WSTR QUALIFIER

Casa Grande Rodeo Grounds
Casa Grande, Arizona

The winter ropings keep going farther south in Casa Grande, with a full lineup of WSTR divisions produced by WSTR staff. 

Jan. 29-31 | ARIAT WSTR QUALIFIER

Rancho Rio 
Wickenburg, Arizona

Back to Rancho Rio for this roping produced by John English, one of the industry’s longest-standing producers. This one features a #10.5 Bloomer, with special fees and even bigger payouts. 

FEBRUARY

Feb. 10-14 | ARIAT WSTR TITLE FIGHTS

Nothing’s more romantic than spending Valentine’s Day at Rancho Rio, right? Complete with boxing gloves for the Title Fights special fees ropings, with their massive payouts. Last year, this event saw some of the highest team counts of any WSTR qualifier ever, with some of the biggest single-division payouts in qualifier history.  

Feb. 27-March 1 | ARIAT WSTR QUALIFIER

Vicky Mounyo produces this qualifier in the full-service facility in Buckeye, complete with a covered arena and an outdoor to keep things running smoothly, no matter what.

Rancho Rio

From an Open to a #6, with Businessman’s, Legends and dummy ropings scattered throughout, the NTR National Finals is truly a “something for everyone” event. It’s capped off by the always anticipated Horse Sale at Rancho Rio, where ropers of every level can find something to win on.
