Joseph Harrison and Hes Got Sann hold the lead in the 6-&-Under Futurity Heeling after three rounds at the Old West Futurity’s Gamble at Guthrie, sitting on a 685.22 heading into the short round.

Harrison is also fourth call on Dont Stopp Trackin, the Dont Stop Believin stallion he won the $100,000 Solo Select Futurity aboard last fall. The short round is set for Saturday, April 11, and the leaderboard remains close behind him, with multiple teams still in position to make a move.

“Pretty much all the 5- and 6-year-olds I’ve got, they can run,” Harrison, 38, of Marietta, Oklahoma, said. “So it’s a plus that they can run and get down the arena and be in a good spot when the head rope goes on.”

Hes Got Sann

Harrison, who made the NFR six straight times from 2017 to 2022, has had Hes Got Sann since his 3-year-old year, giving him time to develop into the horse he is now. The horse has won $94,933 in QData before the Old West, including second last year at the Old West’s Heber City event for $30,688.

Hes Got Sann is owned by Roper Goodson, part of a long-standing relationship with Harrison.

Hes Got Sann’s sire Sannman earned over $200,000 in the cutting, while his dam, Smooth Way Cat, has produced cutters, rope horses and barrel horses.
