The San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo is back in the heart of West Texas April 3-17, 2026, and wraps up the Texas Swing. The team roping kicked off with the timed event slack March 30-31 and has a purse of $90,000 ($45,000 on both ends).


San Angelo Rodeo format

The team roping at the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo included two go-rounds held in slack March 30-31. The top 80 teams on two head advanced to the progressive round, held during the first 10 performances April 3-16. The finals will be comprised of the top 12 teams.
