Who would win the world if the NFR wrapped up after Round 4?

It’s time for Round 5 of the 2023 NFR, which means we’ve officially hit the halfway mark. We’ve crunched the numbers to see who would take home the world titles if it was all said and done after Round 4.


After Round 4, Clint Summers and Jake Long took over the 2023 world standings, thanks to their third round win of the NFR. They’ve both won $102,119 in just the first four rounds.

So, what do the world standings look like after Round 4?

And what about the average?

As of Dec. 12, prior to Round 5, Nelson Wyatt and Jonathan Torres lead the average with a 22.9 on four steers, and that includes a leg in Round 3. The average, of course, is crucial in crowning the world champions, especially when the world standings are this tight. Summers is currently just $6,203.76 ahead of Wyatt, and Long is only $2,788.17 ahead of second-place heeler Wesley Thorp.
