Lockett Eyes Chances at Eighth Trip to WNFR
California's Lockett in the hunt to qualify for his eighth trip to Las Vegas, Nev.

Visalia, California’s Kyle Lockett is currently sitting 17th in the world standings after adding $5,255 last weekend to his total earnings. As the final weekend of the regular season is coming near, Lockett needs to bank $3,593 to qualify for his eighth trip to the Thomas & Mack come December and needs Buddy Hawkins’ and Jeremy Buhler’s totals to stay the same. 

Kaitlin Gustave: Where are you entered this weekend?

Kyle Lockett: I’m entered at New Braunfels, Texas, Mona, Utah and Las Cruces, New Mexico.

KG: Who are you roping with?

KL: I’m roping with Logan Olson at New Braunfels (Texas) and Las Cruces (New Mexico) and I’m roping with Matt Sherwood at Mona, Utah.

KG: How are you feeling about your chances?

KL: Well, I have to win good at all three of them but I still have a chance—I’m just fortunate that I still have a chance.

KG: What are you doing for your mental game?

KL: I don’t really have much of one—just pay attention so that I can get my job done.
