The editorial staff of The Team Roping Journal has long admired James Fain’s photographic quest to capture the history of this sport and its most iconic moments. We are saddened to hear of his passing on May 10, 2023, at the age of 80. In a brief remembrance, here are just a few images by the 2006 and 2015 PRCA Photographer of the Year that we’ve had the privilege to share.
