Steer Report: 2025 Cinch Timed Event Championship Short Round

We ran the numbers to figure out the best cattle in the pen for the final round of the 2025 Cinch Timed Event Championship, and we’ve got the best draws in each event here before Round 5 kicks off.

  • Heading: Leader Ketch Kelton has steer 303 in the heading—the steer with the fastest aggregate time of 31.2 so far across the previous four rounds.
  • Tie-Down Roping: Paul David Tierney has the best calf in Round 5, with an aggregate time of 25.9 on two head (there are two pens of calves—this is the set that goes three times.)
  • Heeling: Dylan Hancock has the statistically best steer in the pen for Round 5, with an aggregate time of 29.5 on four runs.
  • Steer Wrestling: Seth Hall has the best bull dogging steer in the Round 5 pen‚ the same steer Nelson Wyatt downed in 3.9 who has an aggregate time of 20.2 on four head.
  • Steer Roping: KC Jones has the pup in the steer roping, whose aggregate time is 72.8 on four.
