USTRC Cinch Ladies: 2022–2023 Rules and Changes Update
USTRC Cinch Ladies

USTRC and Cinch are pleased to announce the continuation of the Cinch Ladies Award program. This has been a great program targeted to lady ropers and the program continues to evolve with a slight change that requires participation at the 2023 US Finals.

As a reminder, instead of money won, the heading and heeling award will continue to be determined by accumulated points earned throughout the entirety of the team roping season. This encourages participation not only at the Finals but also at the USTRC Signature events and At Home Challenges. This system levels the field, but still awards double the points for winnings at the USTRC Cinch National Finals.

New for the 2022–2023 season, which started May 2, 2022, and culminates at the 34th USTRC Cinch National Finals of Team Roping next April 23–April 30, 2023, is that ropers must be a current USTRC or Key Card/Key Card Max member for points to count. Also, only those who rope in the Shootouts at the 2023 USTRC Cinch National Finals of Team Roping will be eligible to win.

The points breakdowns are as follows: In the At Home Challenge events, 10 points will be awarded to ladies who win the Challenge. No other points will be awarded. At Signature Series events, points will be awarded to those winning an aggregate check. First place = 10 points, second = 9, and so on. Points at Signature Series events will only be given to the number of places paid at those ropings. During the USTRC Cinch National Finals of Team Roping, points are earned in the Shootout events and are simply doubled. First will be 20, second = 18, and so on, as far down as the ropings are paid.

The top points earners after the last Shootout Roping of the Cinch National Finals of Team Roping on April 29, 2023, will be crowned the USTRC Cinch Ladies Heading and Heeling Champions. Each champion will receive a bonus check of $1,000 and one year’s worth of Cinch clothing.

Lady ropers, good luck as you compete at USTRC events in the coming months and make sure to follow the points race and check back often on Facebook, USTRC.com and monthly in The Team Roping Journal.
