Are you a rodeo athlete looking for new ways to earn money?
Since launching in May of 2018, the World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) and its partners have awarded over $12.6 million in new money to rodeo athletes. Qualifying is based on points, rather than dollars won, through their world ranking points system.
How does the WCRA work and how do you earn money?
Start by nominating any event you will be participating in, before the performance start time. You can nominate anything with publicly verifiable results. Team roping jackpots, 4d barrel races, rough stock-only events, or pro rodeos. Basically, any rodeo event counts. As long as the event has public and verifiable results, you are eligible to earn WCRA points.
How do you start?
Go to the App Store or Google Play Store, and download the WRCA app on your mobile device. If you already have an account, hit nominate, if not, hit register and create your account. Select your discipline and the date you ride or run. Verify you’re nominating the current segment. Confirm your payment. Now it’s time to compete and earn points. The WCRA team will track your results and points will be awarded if and when you place and earn money.
Just ask the Pros.
Kaleb Driggers Junior Noguiera paid the WCRA nomination fee for every rodeo they entered over their record-setting Fourth-of-July run, sending them to the top of WCRA’s Reliance Ranches VRQ Bonus Leaderboard. The two will receive a $25,000 bonus from Reliance Ranches if they remain in the lead by the end of November 27, 2022.
“Nominations were 50% off over the Fourth,” Nogueira said. “So we just nominated everything because that $25,000 at the end of the season will really help. Plus they give a weekly $500 bonus for the person who wins the most in each division, so it’s well worth it.”
