The Patriot Fort Worth kicks off for team ropers Monday, March 4, 2024, at the Will Rogers Coliseum. Under new management, the event promises a fresh perspective and an array of improvements from the Equine Network, including specialty ropings, age ropings, full access through Global Handicaps and more.

How does the Hooey Jr Patriot work?

Jr Patriot Last Chance Qualifiers are ran as a sidepot, and the results will be figured on your time in the main roping. Each Qualifier offers different events and age divisions, so enter the main roping before entering the sidepot. Only one advancement is eligible on each time. Anyone within the age limit can enter the ropings, but if you want a last chance at advancing to the Semifinals, you must enter the Last Chance sidepot.

All the action for the Jr Patriot begins Thursday, March 7, with the Resistol Young Guns Jr Patriot Open. The top 15 in the average of the sidepot in the Resistol Young Guns Jr Patriot Open advance to the Semifinals. In the Resistol Young Guns Hooey Jr Patriot #10.5, the top 10 from the sidepot advance to the Semifinals.

The Open Semifinals will be one long round with the top 50 advancing to the second round, followed by the 15 fastest in the two-head average advancing to the Jr. Patriot Finals on Sunday, March 10. The #10.5 Semifinals will also be one long round with the top 50 advancing to the second round. The 10 fastest from the two-head average, however, will advance to the Jr. Patriot Finals.

In the Finals on Sunday, the Open will run from 15th to first, based on the aggregate times from the two rounds. The #10.5 will run from 10th to first, based on the aggregate times from the two rounds.
