It certainly was not lonely at the top of Round 7 in the team roping at the 2023 NFR. Three teams took the top spot with a 4.0. Derrick Begay and Colter Todd, who now lead the average, were the first team out and went to the lead with a 4.0. Six teams later, Clay Smith and Paden Bray tied Begay and Todd. Following Smith and Bray, Clint Summers and Jake Long joined both teams at the top, taking home their fourth round win of this year’s NFR.

Chelsea Shaffer sits down with all three teams on this episode of The Score to talk about their night.

This episode is presented by Resistol, who have supported us in our multimedia coverage of all things team roping and rope horse since 2012. Check out Resistol’s NEW footwear collection, primed to ring in 2024 with a bang.
