The Score: Season 3, Episode 20 with WSTR’s Connie Gentry
Connie Gentry joins Chelsea Shaffer for Season 3, Episode 20 of The Score, brought to you by Fast Back Ropes.

Connie Gentry is the matriarch of the sport of team roping, and in 2020, her business savvy, paired with recreational ropers’ passion for their hobby, has helped keep the industry afloat.

After 30 years in the industry, Gentry implemented the association’s Practice Pen Qualifiers, which ultimately added $800,000 to the pot in Las Vegas and qualified some 200 teams to the Finale.

On this episode of The Score, host Chelsea Shaffer talks to Gentry as she and her team come out of the challenging 2020 season and prepare for the Ariat World Series of Team Roping Finale in Las Vegas at the South Point Hotel & Casino. She and her family—including husband Denny, daughters Lacee and Audra and son Lucas—work tirelessly for team ropers, and it’s rare to sneak in this kind of time with any of them.
