In 2008, Colter Todd would make the NFR on the head side and then walk away from ProRodeo for over a decade. Fast forward to 2023, Todd has returned to Las Vegas, this time to heel for his partner and best friend, Derrick Begay.

Begay and Todd are some of rodeo fans’ favorite team ropers and for good reason. Chelsea Shaffer sat down with Todd in the media room of the Thomas & Mack after running the team roping steers through Tuesday, Dec. 5, and Todd gets very honest about his nerves and thoughts as he prepares for his NFR return.
