With ample foundation breeding behind him, the gorgeous dappled buckskin, Bucks Hancock Dude, was purchased by Reliance Ranches and moved to the Lazy E from Namgis Quarter Horses in the fall of 2022, part of Reliance’s move to bolster the performance side of their incredible breeding program.

“We’ve changed up the breeding program some,” Bobby Mote said. Mote trains Reliance’s horses for their Second Career program. “After we flush a mare to a race stallion, we might then breed her to a performance stud and that’s where Bucks Hancock Dude fits in for us.”

Dude brings an impressive record, with progeny earnings of $1,295,082.

His progeny have competed at the AQHA World Show in heading, heeling and tie-down roping, and he’s sired many winners in the barrel racing pen, including Namgis D 33, a winner of seven Wrangler NFR go-rounds with Emily Beisel, including two in 2022.

During his own stellar performance career, Dude was named the 2008 AQHA All-Around Performance Stallion, won the 2007 National Rope Horse Futurity Association Championship in tie-down roping and was the 2007 AQHA Reserve World Champion in Junior Tie-Down Roping. He was shown in halter, tie-down roping and heeling, earning a massive 553 AQHA points in each discipline during a four-year career.
