An embryo by Third Edge out of $592,448-earner Tres Chasin Babe PZ will sell April 11 at the Old West Horse Sale, with 100% of the proceeds going to Ryan and Kelsie Domer following the loss of their 3-year-old daughter, Oaklynn.
The sale is set for 6:30 p.m. CST at the Lazy E Arena and will stream on CCI.live.
Tres Chasin Babe PZ, a 2019 mare by Tres Seis out of Babe On The Chase (by Chasin Firewater), earned $592,448. Her record, while piloted by Brittany Pozzi-Tonozzi, includes wins at the BFA World Futurity, Pink Buckle Futurity and Ruby Buckle Central Futurity.
Third Edge is a 2018 red roan stallion by Metallic Rebel and out of Lil Rattler, a producer of more than $1.6 million. An NCHA Horse of the Year and Hall of Fame inductee, he earned $342,528 under Wesley Galyean.
The embryo is owned by Tres Amigos Partners, which includes Redgie Probst and 3-String Cattle Co., A&C Racing and Roping’s Richard family, and Las Tunas Performance Horses’ Miguel Guerrero. The group purchased Tres Chasin Babe PZ for $1 million at the 2025 Teton Ridge Dispersal Sale, while Solo Select purchased Third Edge for $5.6 million the same day.
Probst said the cross was planned with rope horse potential in mind.
“When you put two champions like that together, it could be the ultimate rope horse,” Probst said. “That’s why we bred her to Third Edge.”

Rhen Richard said the mating leaned toward producing a head horse.
“I think we were just thinking head horse,” Richard said. “With what Third Edge has done and the mare, it should make something like a head horse.”

The embryo will sell as a benefit for the Domer family, who Probst said are longtime friends.
“Kelsie has been a family friend of ours for years,” Probst said. “What do you do for somebody who’s just lost a little girl? You don’t know. This is something we could do to help.”
Probst said the group hopes the offering carries lasting meaning.
“Whoever ends up with this horse, there’s going to be a piece of Oaklynn with it,” he said.
The resulting foal will be eligible for the Old West’s Sale Graduate sidepots for the duration of its competitive career—translating into millions upon millions in available earnings.
The embryo will be offered during the Old West Horse Sale, with proceeds going directly to the Domer family.
