Heading Update:
2019 College National Finals Rodeo All-Around Cowboy Colton Campbell, from Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Dalton Pearce added $4,915 to each of their earnings, moving Campbell to third in the Resistol Rookie heading standings with $18,700.63.
They tied NFR qualifiers, Chad Masters and Joseph Harrison and Tyler Wade and Billie Jack Saebens to win the Gooding (Idaho) Pro rodeo with a 4.2-second run, worth $4,275 a man. They then placed sixth at the Cassia County Fair & Rodeo in Burley, Idaho with a 5.2-second run, worth $640 a man.
Campbell is also 18th in the California circuit standings with $4,983.00.
Salado, Texas’ header Garett Chick is still challenging Kal Fuller for the number-one spot in the Resistol Rookie race.
Chick and Ross Ashford placed second at the Lynden (Washington) PRCA Rodeo with a 5.7-second run, wroth $1,624 a man.
Chick continues to stay in the number-two spot of the Resistol Rookie standings and is 46th in the PRCA world standings with $24,760.74. He is third in the Texas circuit standings with $13,075.38.
Florence, Arizona’s Pedro Egurrola leaped from 27th to 15th in the Resistol Rookie standings after a big win in Arizona.
Egurrola and Trevor Nowlin won the Annual World’s Oldest Continuous Rodeo in Payson, Arizona with a 5.4-second run, worth $1,806 a man.
Egurrola is 15th in the Resistol Rookie standings and 14th in the Turquoise circuit standings with $4,124.73.
Gallatin Gateway, Montana’s Ian Austiguy placed seventh at the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo in Kalispell, Montana with Chase Briggs IV. They roped their steer in 6.8-seconds, adding $371 to each of their earnings.
Austiguy is 13th in the Resistol Rookie standings and ninth in the Montana circuit standings with $4,930.79.
Canby, Oregon’s Jordan Tye is eighth in the standings with $5,917.44. He and Jason Minor placed sixth at the Lynden PRCA Rodeo with a 6.9-second run, worth $338 a man.
Tye is also seventh in the Columbia River circuit standings with $5,917.44.
Heeling Update:
Casper, Wyoming’s Carson Johnson had the largest money-earning weekend among all Resistol Rookies after adding $5,051 to his earnings.
He and brother and header Kellan Johnson won the Yellowstone River Round-Up in Billings, Montana with a 4.4-second run, worth $3,359 a man. They won the final rodeo of the Steamboat Springs (Colorado) Pro Rodeo Series with a 5.0-second run, worth $886 a man, then placed third at the Wyoming State Fair & Rodeo in Douglas, Wyoming with a 5.6-second run, adding $806 to their earnings.
Carson continues to man the number-three spot in the Resistol Rookie heeling standings with $18,341.14, and fifth in the Mountain States circuit standings with $8,053.85.
Oakdale, California’s Wyatt Hansen added a total of $2,883 to his Resistol Rookie heeling earnings.
Hansen and partner Ryan Reed placed fifth in the average at the Caldwell (Idaho) Night Rodeo with a time of 16.0-seconds on two head, worth $1,358 a man. They tied Riley and Brady Minor, Clay Tryan and Travis Graves and Paul David Tierney and Tanner Braden for sixth in the first round with a 5.3-second run, worth $496 a man, then tied Matt Sherwood and Hunter Koch for fourth in the second round with a 5.2-second run, adding $1,029 to each man’s earnings.
Hansen is currently second in the Resistol Rookie heeling standings and 49th in the PRCA world standings with $22,920.53, and fifth in the California circuit standings with $11,520.73.
The number-one cowboy in the Resistol Rookie heeling standings , Paden Bray, is not slowing down any time soon. He and Erich Rogers added $1,342 to their earnings.
They placed sixth in the average at the Canby (Oregon) Rodeo with a time of 17.0-seconds on two head, worth $988 a man. They tied Nolan Conway and Shawn Bird for ninth at the Yellowstone River Round-Up with a 5.6-second run, worth $354 a man.
Rogers and Bray also (unofficially) won the first round at the Horse Heaven/Kennewick (Washington) Round-Up with a 4.5-second run, worth $2,906 a man, and are currently tied for fifth in the second round with a 5.9-second run, putting them currently second in the average with a time of 10.4-seconds on two head.
Bray is number-one in the Resistol Rookie race and 23rd in the PRCA world standings with $47,046.02. He is 15th in the Texas circuit heeling standings with $7,680.82.
La Veta, Colorado’s Clancey Kreutzer added $1,231 to his earnings. He and Jase Staudt won the Wyoming State Fair & Rodeo with a 5.0-second run, worth $1,231 a man.
Kreutzer jumped from ninth to sixth in the Resistol Rookie heeling standings and is fourth in the Mountain States circuit standings with $8,121.88.
Dickinson, North Dakota’s Chad Ystaas, who is heeling for Tucker Dale, moved up one spot to 13th in the Resistol Rookie race.
They tied Jason Thorstenson and Jade Nelson to win the McHenry County Firefighters rodeo in Velva, North Dakota with a 5.0-second run, worth $841 a man.
Ystaas is 13th in the Resistol Rookie heeling standings with $4,969.79, and sixth in the Badlands circuit standings with $6,239.01.
Plymouth, Indiana’s Tye Casey leaped from 18th to 16th in the Resistol Rookie heeling standings. He and partner Randy Mager placed second at the Brown County Fair Pro Rodeo in DePere, Wisconsin with a 12.6-second run, worth $811 a man.
Casey is 16th in the Resistol Rookie Standings and ninth in the Great Lakes circuit standings with $3,351.34.
