Canada’s Kolton Schmidt and California’s Wyatt Cox—a new team in 2021—took home $100,000 after winning the BFI in its hometown of Reno, Nevada on June 21, 2021. They roped six head in 40.27 seconds on six head and stopped to chat with “The Short Score” host Kaitlin Gustave about their day in Reno and their preparation for the prestigious roping.
Wesley Thorp makes a guest appearance, too, as he left the BFI with a big chunk of change in his pockets, but you’ll have to listen to the interview to find out how.
