31 Years, 12 Champs

Share

Despite its 31-year history, there are only 12 men who can claim to be Cinch Timed Event Champions. In fact, Trevor Brazile, K.C. Jones, Paul Tierney and Jimmie Cooper have won 19 of the 30. The fact that so few have won it speaks to the idea that it’s rodeo’s Ironman event. Trevor Brazile says of the event: “You only take on the Timed Event because you love it. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon, so I’ve had to work extra hard for everything I’ve won. I love that you can’t buy or luck into winning the Timed Event. It takes some gristle in your gut and some blood in your eye to win this thing.”
