Derrick Begay is one of rodeo’s most iconic personas, with a perspective on life and team roping different from anyone else on the road.

The Navajo Nation’s heading phenom broke onto the rodeo scene heading on a Paint horse his uncle had picked up at a sale as a colt, and since then he’s weathered ProRodeo’s storms to remain a dominant force in the game 18 years after he first bought his PRCA card.
