TRJ’s Arizona Guide: The Premier Platform to Reach AZ’s Roping Community
With the Arizona Guide, we’re helping tens of thousands of recreational team ropers and their families plan the trips of a lifetime, every single year.
Arizona Guide

As editors of The Team Roping Journal, we’ve come to know the ins and outs of Arizona team roping culture and are constantly seeking more stories from the Southwest. From some of the best ropings in the country to awe-inspiring views to the movers and shakers who shape the sport of team roping, we believe Arizona offers something for everyone.

“Within the Arizona Guide, we’re helping the many tens of thousands of recreational team ropers and their families plan the trip of a lifetime, every single year,” TRJ Editor Chelsea Shaffer said. “We partner with dozens of businesses and producers across the Grand Canyon State to show you what they’ve got to offer, while serving audiences through teamropingjournal.com and its corresponding social channels that reach hundreds of thousands annually.”

Inside you’ll find fully-planned trips to the hotbed of snowbird team roping. Each trip will take you to a major jackpot, tell you where to stay, practice, keep your horses, eat and play. Our guides will allow you to experience Arizona team roping like a local, even if it’s your first trip to the land of the saguaro cacti.

The Team Roping Journal’s Arizona Guide,  named the top Custom Publication of the Year by the American Horse Publications, continues to expand. Since 2019, it was delivered to the mailboxes of some 44,000 ropers across the country and the world, exposing the brand’s messages to an audience that dreams of and plans for a trip to Arizona each winter.

In addition to that mailing, The Team Roping Journal’s Arizona Guide is distributed via e-blast to the brand’s thousands of engaged users. Each story in the issue, as well as a full digital copy of the issue, is distributed throughout the fall, winter and spring months across TRJ’s social and digital channels. In 2023, the Arizona Guide will mail to ropers with the brand’s October issue—allowing ropers to plan their trip well ahead of time.
