The team behind QData’s leading rope horse owners—Solo Select and the Relentless Remuda—is headed to the Old West Futurity Sale in Heber City, Utah, on June 20 with five hand-selected prospects, each eligible for the event’s groundbreaking $1 million sale graduate bonus.

From the program that made 2024’s $50,000 4-year-old Old West Champ Relentless PYC, this consignment represents some of the most carefully bred and prepared young horses in the rope horse world.

“There’s never been a rope horse sale that had the precedence to warrant bringing your goods like this until this one,” 26-time PRCA World Champion Trevor Brazile said. “The ones we put into this sale are the best prospects we have—and they’ll give someone the best chance at $1 million as 4-year-olds.”

Each horse in the consignment is eligible for the sale’s $1 million bonus, awarded to eligible 4-year-olds that win during the Old West Futurity in 2026, giving buyers not only top-tier talent but also a chance at serious prize money down the road.

Here’s a closer look at what Solo Select and the Relentless Remuda are bringing to Heber City:

Hip No. 4 – Free Aint Cheap

FreeAintCheap
2023 red roan stallion – Metallic Cattack x Fun N Fancy Free, by Peptoboonsmal
Consigned by Solo Select/Relentless Remuda

A standout red roan colt with pedigree and performance on his side, Free Aint Cheap is a full brother to Solo Select’s promising 3-year-old stallion and a maternal sibling to Pride And Joyy—the heel horse phenom who’s earned over $345,000 under Brazile and Baker.

“He’s in the sale because I think when it’s his turn to be that age, he’s going to be a really good chance to win the million,” Baker said. “He wants to stop, with his maternal line. He’s a really good stud prospect for somebody that wants to go that route. Trevor and I are hoping that whoever buys him will let us continue to be at the reins for his career as well.”

He’s spent the year in Tyson Benson’s program and shows a rare mix of cow sense, presence and potential.

Hip No. 16 – Attomic Bomb

2023 stallion – Metallic Rebel x Dressin Up, by Peptoboonsmal
Consigned by Paul Gober/Agent Solo Select

A knockout stallion prospect by Metallic RebelAttomic Bomb is designed to be great. His dam, Dressin Up, was a National Reined Cow Horse Open Futurity Finalist and has produced multiple winners—including Gettin Arround, an NRCHA Intermediate Open Futurity Reserve Champion and this colt’s full brother.

With roots that trace back to Smartly Dressed—producer of over $327,000—this colt combines cow sense, athleticism, and a pedigree stacked with performance horses. He’s been in training with Pedro Rojas and is prepped for a smooth transition into any rope horse futurity program.

Hip No. 23 – Whatcha Know Bout Me

Whatcha Know Bout ME -2
2024 sorrel filly – Stevie Rey Von x Runawayheart, by First Down Dash Consigned by Solo Select/Relentless Remuda

Bred for speed, size, and cow, Whatcha Know Bout Me is by NCHA Futurity Champion Stevie Rey Von and out of Runawayheart, a First Down Dash daughter with over $347,000 in produce earnings. She stands 15.3 hands, weighs in at 1,400 lbs, and boasts a speed index of 99—built exactly for the run-cow cross Solo Select aims to produce.

“Runawayheart herself is the biggest Quarter Horse I’ve ever seen in person, and that’s not exaggerating,” Baker said. “She was huge, but looked like she was 14.2 and made, and just as pretty a mare as I’ve ever seen… That was just a real neat cross.”

Hip No. 32 – Crosby Ray Von

With her rare blue roan color, correct build, and proven genetics, Crosby Ray Von is a show-stopper on paper and in person. By $17.5 million sire Stevie Rey Von and out of a Valiant Hero daughter, she has been in training with the Relentless Remuda for the heading pen and is progressing with consistency and grit.

“She’s probably the most advanced 3-year-old that I’ve rode,” Baker said. “She’s good-minded, real quiet but she can run. And she’s real stingy. She’s got a lot of feel and moves her feet real good. That’s as good of a 3-year-old head horse as we’ve had come through the program yet. That mare feels like our best chance to win a million in the heading.”

Bred to perform and built to last, she’s the type of mare you could center a program around.

Hip No. 33 – Lews Lips

2024 red roan filly – Big Lew x Relentless Glory, by Metallic Cat Consigned by Solo Select/Relentless Remuda

By Big Lew—the $638,878 earner by Corona Cartel—and out of Relentless Glory, this filly comes directly from Brazile’s own show string. Relentless Glory is a Heading Futurity Champion with more than $48,000 in earnings and is a full sister to Relentless Big Shot, the $280,000 roping earner.

Her second dam, Z Oh Six, is a full sister to Deputy, Brazile’s NFR mount. In short, this is rope horse royalty.

“Glory was as solid of a switchender as we’ve had,” Brazile said. “And crossing her on Big Lew is adding the explosive speed that’s going to put a program on the map.”
