As cowboys are in the heat of the Cowboy Christmas run in 2019, team ropers are rodeoing non-stop for their shot at roping in the 2019 Wrangler NFR.

Chad Masters and Joseph Harrison won the Reno (Nevada) Rodeo with a time of 17.3-seconds on three head, worth $6,747 a man. They tied Colby Lovell and Ty Arnold for eighth in the first round with a 5.5-second-run, worth $196 a man. They also placed fifth in the final round with a 6.3-second-run, worth $428 a man. Masters and Harrison added a total of $7,371 to each of their earnings. 

“Hopefully, we will run with it,” Harrison said. “We ran our second one at Greeley and were 5-flat and ran one at Livingston (Montana) and were 4.9. Hopefully it just rolls us right in there.”

They are currently sixth in the second round at the Greeley (Colorado) Stampede with that 5.0-second-run and tied for sixth in a brutally tough one-header in Livingston. 

As of July 2, Masters is ninth in the PRCA world standings $39,475.16. Harrison is seventh with $40,563.29.

Former Resistol Rookie of the Year Jeff Flenniken and Tyler Worley won the West Of The Pecos (Texas) Rodeo with a time of 14.7-seconds on two head, worth $2,675 a man. They tied Luke Brown and reigning World Champion Paul Eaves for first in the first round with a 7.0-second-run, worth $1,630 a man. They tied Landon McClaugherty and Tyler Pearson for fifth in the second round with a 7.7-second-run, worth $431 a man. They also placed sixth in the average at the Reno Rodeo with a time of 20.0-seconds on three head, worth another $2,347 a man. Flenniken and Worley are currently tied for fourth in the second round at the Greeley Stampede with Spencer Mitchell and Cody Doescher’s 4.9-second-run. In total, they added a total of $7,083 to their earnings in the last week of June. Flenniken is 31st in the world standings with $19,028.47. Worley is 16th with $26,819.20.

2019 Bob Feist Invitational champions JR Dees and Lane Siggins won the Crystal Springs Rodeo in Clear Lake, South Dakota with a 5.3-second-run, worth $3,126 a man. They tied Wyatt Bice and Parker Murnion for second at the Roughrider Days Rodeo in Dickinson, North Dakota with a 5.4-second-run, worth $1,777 a man. Dees and Siggins added a total of $4,903 to their earnings in the last week. Dees is 22nd in the world standings with $22,674.62. Siggins is 25th with $21,822.95.

Dawson and Dillon Graham won the Crooked River Roundup in Prineville, Oregon with a time of 14.7-seconds on two head, worth $1,916 a man. They placed third in the first round with a 7.2-second-run, worth $837 a man. They won the second round with a 7.5-second-run, worth $1,277 a man. They also were eighth at the Williams Lake (British Columbia) Stampede with a 7.2-second-run, worth $708 a man. Dawson and Dillon added a total of $4,738 to their earnings. 

Ryan Opie and Chase Hansen dominated in Idaho where they won the Meridian (Idaho) Lions Rodeo with a 5.0-second-run, worth $1,567 a man. They won the Daniel Dopps Memorial Ram PRCA Rodeo in Mountain Home, Idaho with a 5.5-second-run, worth $1,772 a man. Opie and Hansen added a total of $3,339 to their earnings.
