Pro Rodeo Results Wrap-Up: August 27, 2018
Egusquiza and Koontz move to number-one on the leader board.

Dustin Egusquiza and Kory Koontz banked $9,575 over the weekend. The won the Horse Heaven/Kennewick (Washington) Round-Up after roping three head in 14.0 seconds, worth $4,013 each. They tied with Derrick Begay and Cory Petska for first in the first round with a 4.5-second-run, worth $2,501 each, they tied Bubba Buckaloo and Tyler Worley for second in the second round with a 4.8-second-run, worth $1,977 each and  won the finals round with a 4.7-second-run, worth $870 each. They placed 10th at the Kitsap Stampede in Bremerton, Washington with a 9.2-second-run, worth $214. Egusquiza and Koontz are now number-one in the PRCA World Standings with $98,698.20 each.

Erich Rogers and Clint Summers won second at the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo in San Juan Capistrano, California with a 5.2-second-run, worth $8,310 each. They also tied Blake Tiexeira and Ross Ashford for fourth in the first round at Kennewick, Washington with a 4.8-second-run, worth $1,454 each. Rogers moved from 16th to 11th in the PRCA World Standings with $60,681.00. Summers moved from 11th to eighth in the standings with $74,419.56.

Rhen Richard and Quinn Kesler won second at the Golden Spike Rodeo in Tremonton, Utah after roping their steer in 5.2 seconds, worth $2,030 each. They tied Lane Ivy and Buddy Hawkins II for second at the Kitsap Stampede with a 4.6-second-run, worth $3,422 each. They won fourth at the Horse Heaven/Kennewick Round-Up after roping three head in 15.7 seconds, worth $2,443 each. They won the second round with a 4.6-second-run, worth $2,675 each and sixth in the finals round with a 6.0-second-run, worth $150 each. Richard jumped from 22nd to 12th in the World Standings with $57,951.79. Kesler jumped from 24th to 15th with $54,122.41.

Resistol Rookie header Jeff Flenniken and Jake Minor had a big weekend after winning the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo with a 5.1-second-run, worth $9,287 each. They also placed sixth at the Gem State Stampede in Coeur D Alene, Idaho with a 5.1-second-run, worth $993 each. Flenniken is now 18th and Minor is 17th with $52,808.21.

Spencer Mitchell and Russell Cardoza won the Golden Spike Rodeo with a 4.5-second-run, worth $2,335 each. They also snuck into the money at the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo with a 9.2-second-run, worth $1,466 each. Spencer is now 13th in the World Standings with $57,487.55. Cardoza is just shy of breaking the top 30 with $41,825.90.
